AFAIK this only works with R500-based cards. The FireGL X3 is R400-based.

Yes, only R500 and later cards are supported via Atom BIOS.

Getting a FireGL X3 running in a Mac is tricky.

I ended up farming out later cards to a friend who specializes in converting cards for Mac use.
And for G5 use I would definitely recommend the Apple X800XT over the FireGL X3.

For a card that does not have to have Mac firmware, a PC Radeon X1950Pro AGP card works well.

So the frequencies are Reported with 493 GPU and 473 Memory.
Even though it is overclocked. It is only slightly. Probably the reason will be some other mismatch in the ROM data.

I reflashed one of my cards to X86 Bios but then the Computer will not boot from the MorphOS CD at all. If the HD is connected it will go to OSX even though i hold 'c'. If i disconnect the HD it will be in a reboot loop (at least i think it, because the DVD drive spins up and down after certain periods of time.
Now i reinserted the 9600 that was the original card of the Computer and it works like it should.
